- The authors undertake that the paper submitted is not plagiarism, it does not use untrustworthy sources, false, distorting or misleading data in any way. The submitted manuscript shall not contain defamatory or offensive data, nor statements that harm a third party, it shall not be a compilation or recycled text. At the same time, they undertake to work fairly with citations and sources in the paper and not to knowingly violate the copyrights of other authors (including co-authorship).
- The authors guarantee that the submitted contribution is the original outcome of their own research and that it has not yet been published in any form and that it does not go through a peer review procedure in another journal. Slovenské divadlo shall not publish texts that have already been published elsewhere.
- A text may only be re-published in another language. Such a contribution can only be accepted in exceptional cases, when its publication in Slovenské divadlo has the potential to significantly enrich scientific knowledge in a given field/discipline and hit a broader audience of readers. In such cases, a thorough reworking and referencing to the original contribution are necessary, as well as the justification of modifications and the statement of advancement in knowledge.
- If the published text violates the principles of ethical or professional approach to citing the works of other authors, or if it is established that all or part of the texts are plagiarism or own works that have already been published in the past or simultaneously published in several other specialized publications, authors and co-authors assume full responsibility. The editor-in-chief of Slovenské divadlo takes note of the need to avoid similar situations and, after accepting the final versions of manuscripts, a detailed review of the professional practices of the scientific text creation and of the ethical principles associated with citing and paraphrasing the works of other authors shall take place.
- The authors are responsible for a fair presentation of all co-authors of their research/ contribution and for the settlement of all copyrights attached to the manuscript sent in for publication in Slovenské divadlo (granting consent to be published by all authors, including authors/licensees of image and photographic material). In the event of a potential conflict of interest, the author must clearly declare this.
- The authors are responsible for the correctness and accuracy of data. All sources, including information from conversation/correspondence with a third party, must be properly stated in the manuscript. In their texts, they shall indicate any source of financial support for the research undertaken and their professional/organizational affiliation.
- The authors should, at the time of submitting their article, reflect on the existing research in both Slovak and other languages and draw attention to cases of related research, studies, published works.
- The authors are required to observe the editorial guidelines for contributors, including the citation standards of the journal and of bibliography standards.
- In the case of inadvertent publication of incorrect data, the editorial team and the advisory board of Slovenské divadlo undertakes to publish corrections, apologies or clarifications.
- The authors are obliged to participate in the review process and to communicate with the editorial office promptly in case of any modifications and corrections of contributions.
- Slovenské divadlo shall not request from the authors any fees for the submission and publishing of articles.
- Slovenské divadlo shall not pay royalties to authors.
- In the event a text is published in English language, all costs related to the translation and proofreading shall be borne by the authors (or their employers).
